The Ocean Signal safeSEA S100 is a compact, SOLAS-compliant radar transponder (SART) that meets IMO GMDSS requirements. This device responds to X-band radar signals when a search radar is nearby and displays a recognizable dot pattern on the rescuers' radar screens. It is primarily used on liferafts or emergency escape equipment and activates automatically when scanned by radar to aid in rapid location.
