Reactor 40 Hydraulic Autopilot

Garmin Reactor 40 Hydraulic Autopilot Series Overview

1. Product Features and Functions

• Highly Responsive
The Reactor 40 is described by Garmin as its most responsive autopilot system to date, rapidly adjusting direction to maintain course and route during navigation.

• Solid-state 9-Axis AHRS Sensing Technology
Equipped with a nine-axis inertial navigation system (AHRS), it can be installed in any orientation and provides stable course maintenance and optimized power control, effectively reducing yaw and unnecessary rudder movements.

• Shadow Drive™ Technology
This patented technology allows the captain to temporarily take control by manually turning the rudder while the autopilot is in operation, and then automatically regain control as long as the course is maintained.

• Auto Guidance Support
When used with Garmin charts (such as BlueChart® g3 Vision® or Navionics Vision+ charts), Auto Guidance can be enabled, automatically planning a route based on safe channels and vessel specifications.
